Basketball Recap: Jalen Li Key Part of a Team Effort in Warrior Win

Calvary Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 49-31 win over Abundant Life Academy. This was payback for the Warrior, who suffered a 76-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Calvary Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalen Li out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieran Riccobono, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and six assists.

Calvary Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Abundant Life Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Calvary Academy will take on Atlantic Christian in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Abundant Life Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Veritas Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Veritas Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Abundant Life Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
