Soccer Recap: West Harrison Comes Up Short

West Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 4-0 loss courtesy of the George County Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Rebels are ranked 23rd).

West Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for George County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Harrison will welcome Resurrection Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for George County, they will face off against Pascagoula at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. George County knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Pascagoula likes a good challenge.
