Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawton). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Altus Bulldogs 3-2. Lawton haven't had any issues with Altus recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lawton's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-9-1. As for Altus, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Lawton will welcome Elgin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Altus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
