Baseball Recap: Mahanoy Area Comes Up Short

Mahanoy Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-4 to the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-4 back in March.

Joe Rick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Mahanoy Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Schuylkill Haven, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mahanoy Area will face off against rival Nativity BVM at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Schuylkill Haven is set to take on their familiar foe Minersville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
