Softball Game Preview: Dobson Mustangs vs. Camelback Spartans

The Dobson Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Camelback Spartans at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dobson fell victim to Red Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 20-0 to the Mountain Lions. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Camelback scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Browne, falling 35-16. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Dobson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything went Dobson's way against Camelback in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Dobson made off with a 31-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
