Basketball Recap: Sardis Lions vs. Westbrook Christian Warriors
Sardis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 72-60 to the Westbrook Christian Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-53 back in November of 2024.
Leading Westbrook Christian to victory were Titus Jones and Brady Carden. Jones went 10 for 14 en route to 26 points and five rebounds, while Carden dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Carden a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Brodey Wood, who posted nine points.
Sardis' loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Westbrook Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Sardis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-61 defeat against Hokes Bluff on the 30th. As for Westbrook Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-58 loss against Glencoe on the 3rd.
