Softball Recap: McBain Comes Up Short

McBain lost against Houghton Lake back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ramblers took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Peterson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisleigh Magnan, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

McBain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Houghton Lake, their record is now 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McBain is set to square off against their familiar foe Manton at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Houghton Lake will face off against rival Pine River Area at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
