Volleyball Recap: Huntsville's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Huntsville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ocean Springs Greyhounds.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12.

Ocean Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Baylor Edmiston, who had 12 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Edmiston has posted over her last seven games. Maggie Noblitt also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Huntsville's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ocean Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Huntsville will challenge Pelham at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ocean Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Homewood on the 23rd.
