Softball Recap: Kamiakin Braves vs. East Valley Red Devils
Kamiakin won the last time they faced East Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kamiakin Braves blew past the East Valley Red Devils 25-2. That 23 run margin sets a new team best for the Braves this season.

Josselyn Bass made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Kamiakin got a massive performance out of Harley Worster, who fired off two home runs, five runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Worster is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Analise Thomasson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs.
Kamiakin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .738. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Valley only posted an OBP of .286.
The victory made it two in a row for Kamiakin and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for East Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kamiakin will host Coeur d'Alene at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Kamiakin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.8 runs per game this season. As for East Valley, it'll be Eastside v. Westside when they and West Valley meet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
