Basketball Recap: Morgyn Barcus and Ellie Bollenbacher Secure Win for Argos

After losing to Pioneer the last time they met, Argos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Argos Dragons snuck past the Pioneer Panthers with a 40-35 win on Saturday.

Leading Argos to victory were Ellie Bollenbacher and Morgyn Barcus. Bollenbacher dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Barcus posted 16 points and five steals.

Argos' victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Pioneer, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Argos and Pioneer could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Argos (ranked 328th) will meet Glenn (ranked 152nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pioneer will face off against North Judson-San Pierre at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 122 places (223 vs. 101).
