Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elk Grove). They never let the Maine East Blue Demons get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. Taylor Wirtz was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Elk Grove's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Maine East, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Elk Grove will face off against Elmwood Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Elk Grove will need to watch out since Elmwood Park have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches. As for Maine East, they will head out to take on Niles West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
