It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Round Valley had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Seton Catholic Sentinels to the tune of 41-14. The win was nothing new for the Elks as they're now sitting on six straight.

It was another big night for Kage Finch, who threw for 200 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 84 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Round Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards in nine consecutive games.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Round Valley's defense and their four sacks. Seton Catholic's QB won't forget Jaxon Crick anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Jeffery Cochran was another major factor on D, making eight total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Coree Edwards and RJ Fogerty certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Edwards rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown, while Fogerty picked up 105 receiving yards and one TD. Fogerty was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 64 yards.

Round Valley's record now sits at 10-1. As for Seton Catholic, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7.
