Basketball Recap: Fulton Victorious

Fulton lost to Marshall back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Fulton Hornets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marshall Owls, sneaking past 67-64. The win was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Several Owls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deacon Arends, who went 5 of 12 en route to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Thompson, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Fulton's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Fulton is taking a road trip to challenge North County Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fulton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three games. As for Marshall, they will host Oak Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
