Volleyball Recap: Tri-Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tri-Valley can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maplewood Tigers on Saturday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Tri-Valley had strong showings from Kirra Klinger, who had 21 digs and three assists, and Callie Melocheck, who had four digs and two aces. Melocheck is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Ella Gemberling also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Tri-Valley's loss dropped their record down to 29-4. As for Maplewood, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-2-1.

As of now, neither Tri-Valley nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
