Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Ursula Academy). They put the hurt on the Bishop Brossart Mustangs with a sharp 16-6 victory on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
A Cosgray and E Schauer did most of the damage at the plate: Cosgray got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Schauer got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Schauer has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was B Bulmer, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one run.
St. Ursula Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Brossart only managed six hits.
