Meanwhile, Heritage Prep earned a 36-26 win over West Melbourne Christian Academy back in December of 2023. The win made it back-to-back wins for Heritage Prep.
Heritage Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Oluwafimijoba Oyedeji led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Oyedeji has scored at least 25% of Heritage Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Kylee Trent, who scored 15 points.
Family Christian Academy bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heritage Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Family Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 48-22 loss they got from Heritage Prep in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Family Christian Academy was down 38-11.
