South Charlotte extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jack Porter. The South Charlotte Thunder took down the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes 74-59 on Thursday which was due in part to Porter, who shot 55% from beyond the arc on his way to 35 points and five rebounds. The last time his three-point shooting accuracy was this high was back in January.

The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Ball, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. South Charlotte is 3-1 when Ball posts eight or more rebounds, but 11-18 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Coastal HomeSchool lost, don't look at Alijah McField. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. McField has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Eli Jenkins was another key player, going 6-for-14 en route to 13 points.

South Charlotte's victory bumped their record up to 14-19. As for Coastal HomeSchool, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 25-12 record.

South Charlotte has already played their next contest, a 66-46 loss against South Wake on the 7th. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-51 win against Frederick W on the 7th.
