Baseball Recap: Ponderosa Victorious

Ponderosa took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Laguna Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins came out on top against the Cardinals on Wednesday by a score of 5-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bruins have posted since March 11th.

Brock Texdahl looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Stiveson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Perin, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Ponderosa hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.
