Archangels Catholic won the last time they faced Aquinas and things went their way on Tuesday too. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Archangels Catholic Defenders made off with a 43-42 win over the Aquinas Monarchs. The victory was familiar territory for the Defenders, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Aquinas lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Miriam Frasher, who posted nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Faith Samek, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Archangels Catholic's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points over those games. As for Aquinas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
