Basketball Game Preview: Tabiona Tigers vs. Bryce Valley Mustangs

The Tabiona Tigers will challenge the Bryce Valley Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tabiona's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

On Saturday, Tabiona needed a bit of extra time to put away Wayne. They had just enough and edged the Badgers out 60-57.

Maycee Rhoades continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 23 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidence Pippy, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Tabiona smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Bryce Valley played a tough matchup last Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Manila 71-44. Bryce Valley has struggled against Manila recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Bryce Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Tabiona, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Tabiona took their victory against Bryce Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 34-14. Does Tabiona have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bryce Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
