Silverdale Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 24) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 victory over the Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Seahawks have posted since December 22, 2023.

Leading Silverdale Academy to victory were Kinsley Owen and Braylee Raby. Owen went 10-for-20 on her way to 25 points along with five boards and five steals, while Raby almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Owen has scored at least a third of Silverdale Academy's points.

Christian Academy of Knoxville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Braden, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 21 points and five rebounds. Braden's big performance that morning made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Colie Thompson, who went 8-for-18 en route to 21 points.

Silverdale Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points over those games. With the defeat, Christian Academy of Knoxville broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-8.

Silverdale Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-53 loss against King's Academy on the 22nd. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they have also already played their next game, a 49-43 victory against Grace Christian Academy on the 22nd.
