Paulding County was the 3-2 winner over Murray County when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kylee Stancil made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Abbey Parish, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Paulding County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Murray County, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paulding County will head out to challenge Hiram at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Murray County, they will venture away from home to take on Ringgold at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
