Baldwin couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 20-14 walloping at the hands of the El Dorado Wildcats on Monday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.

Brett Davidson led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jagger Dey, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Baldwin will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Anderson County at 4:30 p.m. As for El Dorado, they will head out on the road to face off against Collegiate at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
