Baseball Game Preview: Dos Pueblos Chargers vs. Valencia Vikings

The Dos Pueblos Chargers will take on the Valencia Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dos Pueblos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Valencia's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Dos Pueblos is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Katella 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted since April 8th.

Meanwhile, Valencia entered their tilt with Northview on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Northview.

Noah Jaquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Valencia's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-2 (and 8-11 when he doesn't).
