Volleyball Recap: Seventy-First Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Seventy-First and South View squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Seventy-First had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat last Thursday.

Seventy-First started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-15, 25-9, 25-19.

South View found their leader in sophomore Aliya Hall, who had 19 kills.

Seventy-First's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for South View, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Seventy-First does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South View, they will venture away from home to face off against Harnett Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
