The Flat Rock Rams will face off against the Airport Jets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Flat Rock took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Ida. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Bluestreaks: they've now won four in a row.

Emma Neace was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sarah Giroux was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Ashlin Woodman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Flat Rock hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ida struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Airport waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They beat the Bears by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-1.
Alayna McDaniel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 13 Ks.
On the hitting side, Airport's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Zajac, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Zajac has snagged this season.
Airport's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Flat Rock, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Airport's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Flat Rock hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. It's a different story for Airport, though, as they've only averaged .215. Will they be able to contain Flat Rock's hitters?
Flat Rock was able to grind out a solid victory over Airport in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
