Basketball Recap: Mellen Takes a Loss

Mellen and South Shore squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mellen had to settle for second. They lost 52-29 to the South Shore Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 64-35 loss back in February.

Mellen has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. The win was the fifth in a row for South Shore, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

As of now, neither Mellen nor South Shore have any future games scheduled.
