Soccer Game Preview: Morro Bay vs. Cabrillo

Morro Bay is 2-7 against Cabrillo since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Morro Bay Pirates will head out to challenge the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 3:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Morro Bay's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Orcutt Academy as Morro Bay made off with a 3-0 win. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Cabrillo made sure to put some goals up on the board against Coastal Christian on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Conquerors with a sharp 8-3 victory.

Cabrillo is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matches. As for Morro Bay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10-1.

Morro Bay took their victory against Cabrillo when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 5-1. In that game, Morro Bay amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
