Soccer Game Preview: Williamston vs. St. Johns

The Williamston Hornets will head out on the road to take on the St. Johns Redwings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Johns has given up an average of 5.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, neither Williamston nor Holt could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, St. Johns has been on a difficult stretch since their win on October 6. They lost 6-1 to Grand Ledge on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, St. Johns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Grand Ledge are ranked 161st).

Williamston's draw gives them a new season record of 3-3-3. As for St. Johns, they have now lost eight of their last nine games at home. That leaves them at an 0-7-1 record this season.
