Baseball Game Preview: Valencia Vikings vs. Canyon Cowboys

Valencia is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Canyon an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Valencia Vikings will be playing at home against the Canyon Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Valencia came up short against Crescenta Valley and fell 5-2. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly three runs.

Valencia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole DeYoung, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Jack Yamamura was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Canyon lost 10-3 to Calabasas on Monday.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Valencia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Valencia took their victory against Canyon when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-2 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cowboys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
