Basketball Game Preview: Powers Catholic Chargers vs. Glenn Bobcats + How To Watch

The Powers Catholic Chargers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Glenn Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Powers Catholic, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Powers Catholic made easy work of Caro and carried off an 80-57 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Powers Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Sturgess, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 24 points. Those 24 points gave Sturgess a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Caldwell, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 19 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 66 points the game before, Glenn was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 64-25 loss at the hands of Frankenmuth.

Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. Powers Catholic has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.

Everything came up roses for Powers Catholic against Glenn in their previous meeting back in February of 2018, as the team secured a 71-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
