Softball Game Preview: Clinton Red Devils vs. Woodruff Wolverines

Clinton is 0-7 against Woodruff since March of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Clinton sitting on ten straight wins and Woodruff on four.

Clinton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Eau Claire with a sharp 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Fountain Inn typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Woodruff proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Fury.

Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Woodruff, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
