Softball Recap: Andrews Comes Up Short

Andrews fell victim to Cherokee and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Braves. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Andrews saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiya Ellis, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Andrews dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cherokee, their record now sits at 6-8.

While Andrews had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
