Volleyball Recap: Rustburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rustburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Amherst County Lancers. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Rustburg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Peyton Lowes had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Lowes.

Rustburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Amherst County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
