Recap: High Point Eagles vs. DuVal Tigers

This season hasn't been kind to the High Point Eagles, who are still winless after their seventh match. They took a serious blow against DuVal on Thursday, falling 82-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points High Point has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why High Point lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ibrahim Turay. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with three steals. Turay scored a full 48.5% of High Point's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

High Point struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

High Point bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for DuVal, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Point will take on Bladensburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DuVal, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bowie at 7:15 p.m. on January 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bowie is ranked 74th, while DuVal is ranked 72nd).
