Baseball Recap: Pomeroy Comes Up Short

Pomeroy blew Garfield-Palouse out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Garfield-Palouse got their revenge. The Pirates fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 7-5.

Pomeroy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conrad Nelson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Pomeroy's record now sits at 0-2. As for Garfield-Palouse, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Pomeroy by a score of 7-5 later that day.
