Basketball Recap: Dillon Mason Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

SouthLake Christian Academy won the last time they faced Hickory Grove Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles came out on top against the Hickory Grove Christian Lions by a score of 66-57. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

SouthLake Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dillon Mason, who posted 24 points. Mason continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stone Myers, who scored 16 points.

Micah Bradley and Gavin Kiser certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Bradley went 10-for-17 en route to 20 points and five rebounds, while Kiser had eight points in addition to 11 boards and four steals. Those 20 points gave Bradley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kevin Powell lll, who put up ten points.

SouthLake Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

SouthLake Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-44 defeat against Gaston Day on the 4th. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-48 win against Forsyth Home Educators on the 4th.
