IMG Academy White lost against Anclote back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ascenders took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks. The Ascenders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Owen Armstead was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Rob Malmgren also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

IMG Academy White's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Anclote, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.

Coming up, IMG Academy White will face off against St. Petersburg Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anclote, they will square off against Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Packers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
