Softball Game Preview: Woodlan Warriors vs. Garrett Railroaders

The Woodlan Warriors will head out to take on the Garrett Railroaders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Woodlan lost 9-3 to Carroll on Friday.

Lillian Riley was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and one run.

Meanwhile, Garrett suffered their biggest defeat since May 21, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Leo, falling 8-0. The Railroaders have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Garrett's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Woodlan, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-4.

Everything went Woodlan's way against Garrett when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Woodlan made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
