Basketball Recap: Hannan Victorious

Hannan hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost five straight) but thanks in part to Philip Fugett that streak is no more. The Hannan Wildcats were the clear victor by a 72-49 margin over the Ignite Athletics Flames on Saturday thanks to Fugett, who posted 22 points. Hannan is undefeated when Fugett posts 15 or more points, but 1-15 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Coughenour, who had eight points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Hannan's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Ignite Athletics, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hannan will challenge Sherman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ignite Athletics, they will square off against Beth Haven Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ignite Athletics is facing Beth Haven Christian at the right time seeing as Beth Haven Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
