Basketball Game Preview: West Side Roughriders vs. Columbia Cougars

The West Side Roughriders will face off against the Columbia Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Side and four for Columbia.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-49, which was the final score in West Side's tilt against Immaculate Conception on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Roughriders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Lions are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, Columbia lost to Madison at home by a 59-41 margin last Wednesday.

West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

West Side might still be hurting after the 71-46 defeat they got from Columbia in their previous matchup back in January. Can West Side avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
