Basketball Game Preview: Salida Spartans vs. La Junta Tigers

The Salida Spartans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the La Junta Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

This is the second loss in a row for Salida and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for La Junta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Salida against La Junta in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured an 80-31 win. In that contest, Salida amassed a halftime lead of 39-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
