Basketball Recap: Zion-Benton Takes a Loss

Zion-Benton lost against Warren Township back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Zion-Benton Zee-Bees were outmatched by the Warren Township Blue Devils and fell 82-53. While losing is never fun, the Zee-Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 33rd).

Zion-Benton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Warren Township, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Zion-Benton will face off against Lake Zurich at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Warren Township, they will challenge Milwaukee Academy of Science at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warren Township knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Milwaukee Academy of Science likes a good challenge.
