Soccer Game Preview: Hoover vs. Arcadia

Hoover is 0-10 against Arcadia since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hoover Tornados will host the Arcadia Apaches at 3:45 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hoover's offense. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Muir an easy 4-0 win. While losing is never fun, the Tornados can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 742nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 257th).

Meanwhile, Arcadia kept a clean sheet against Burbank on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Burbank from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Marcela Lugo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Arcadia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 7-1-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Hoover, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.
