Baseball Game Preview: San Jose Bulldogs vs. Independence 76ers

The San Jose Bulldogs will square off against the Independence 76ers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gunderson hit San Jose with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 10-2 to the Grizzlies. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luis Cervantes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against James Lick, falling 21-5.

San Jose's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

San Jose took their win against Independence in their previous meeting on April 7th by a conclusive 16-1 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the 76ers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
