Volleyball Recap: Keystone Panthers vs. Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clarion-Limestone, Keystone was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons 3-2. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Keystone wouldn't go down easily and took Allegheny-Clarion Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nichole Wingard, who had five digs, three kills, and 13 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Snyder, who had ten digs and four kills.

Keystone's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Keystone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Elk County Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
