Fredericktown is a perfect 9-0 against Mt. Gilead since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Freddies are taking a road trip to square off against the Indians at 5:15 p.m.

Fredericktown easily dispatched Bexley on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Freddies fell just short of East Knox by a score of 10-8 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Freddies in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Mt. Gilead came into Tuesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Shekinah Christian by a score of 10-6 on Tuesday. Considering the Indians' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Fredericktown's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Mt. Gilead, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Fredericktown took their win against Mt. Gilead when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. Will the Freddies repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
