Basketball Recap: Kearny Christian Academy vs. Hoboken Charter
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Christian, Kearny Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They snuck past Hoboken Charter with a 57-51 win. While Kearny Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Kearny Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leo Kargbo, who posted 36 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kargbo has scored at least a third of Kearny Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Manzo, who had 13 points in addition to five assists and five steals.
