Soccer Game Preview: Concord Christian Academy vs. Delaware Valley Classical

The Concord Christian Academy Minutemen will venture away from home to face off against the Delaware Valley Classical Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Concord Christian Academy put up the most goals they have all season on Tuesday. They never let Fairwinds Christian get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Concord Christian Academy's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Fairwinds Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gabriel Franco (2), Darius Dill-Smith, and Del Daller.

While Delaware Valley Classical's fans didn't get a definitive result on Tuesday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. They and Chestertown Christian Academy finished up on equal footing with a 4-4 draw.

Delaware Valley Classical's draw gives them a new season record of 3-6-4. As for Concord Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.

Concord Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Delaware Valley Classical in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Minutemen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
