Football Recap: Saratoga Springs' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Saratoga Springs was feeling good fresh off their 41-7 takedown of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Streaks took a hard 40-21 fall against the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers on Friday. The Blue Streaks haven't had much luck with the Brothers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Despite the loss, Saratoga Springs still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Coryea, who rushed for 213 yards and one score while picking up 13.3 yards per carry. Coryea's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Saratoga Springs fell to 2-1. As for Christian Brothers Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Saratoga Springs has already played their next matchup, a 28-21 win against Shaker on the 26th. As for Christian Brothers Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 77-0 victory against Schenectady on the 26th.
